Our Story

 

 

The foundation of My Local Business is built upon the incredible life of our father, Bishop Roosevelt Campbell. He was more than a community leader; he was a beacon of hope for the marginalized and those seeking a second chance.

 

 

For over two decades, he dedicated his Tuesdays to the Rhode Island Training Center. There, he invested time and spirit into young individuals, teaching them that their past does not dictate their potential. His philosophy was rooted in accountability, faith, and the transformative power of love.

 

 

This commitment to service was mirrored in his personal life, sharing 43 years of marriage with our mother and establishing a household centered on integrity and devotion. This foundation was established to ensure his work never ceases.

 

 

The Legacy Gathering

 

 

From September 4–6, we convene for the Legacy Gathering, a special time to honor Bishop Campbell's enduring influence. This event unites loved ones, local partners, and advocates to celebrate his memory while actively funding the causes he championed.

 

 

By collaborating with organizations like Foster Forward, we turn these moments of remembrance into tangible support for those in need. We aren't just looking back; we are moving forward in his name.

As we expand, we are developing initiatives focused on empowerment and reentry, including:
